TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 09/16/1920 Rowley, Lucy A. (8
APR 1913 - 12 Sep 1920) Lucy Ann Rowley,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Rowley, was born in the town of
Dover, Racine Co., on April 18, 1913. When but a baby of seven
months she came with the family to their present home on the farm
in the town of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., where she has spent seven
happy years. On Aug. 25th Lucy
was taken sick with what was thought to be the measles.
Complications developed rapidly and on Sept. 3 she was taken to the
Marshfield Hospital for an operation on the throat. While at the
hospital it was found that her symptoms indicated scarlet fever.
This, with the attendant complications, caused her death at an
early hour on Sunday morning Sept. 12, 1920. The body was brought
to Loyal, where, on account of the contagious nature of the
disease, a private burial took place at the cemetery on Monday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. E. Knaak officiated at the
service. Lucy leaves a
father and mother, two brothers and a sister, besides many
relatives and friends. She has gone to join her brother, Donald,
who preceded her to the better world at little more than two years
ago. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
