(26 Dec 1862 - 23 Jan 1921) Mr. Carl Stange
died at his home east of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. Sunday
afternoon, Jan. 23, 1921, at the age of 58 years, after an illness
of about three weeks. He suffered a stroke of paralysis about three
weeks ago, from which he did not recover. Carl F. W. Stange
was born Dec. 26, 1862 at Milo, Uckermarkt, Germany and came to the
U. S. with his parents when four years old, settling at Iron Ridge,
Dodge Co., where they lived six years. In 1872 they came
to Clark County, Wis., settling in the town of Beaver, being among
the first settlers. In the year 1891
he was married to Miss Minnie Newman, who besides two sons, Frank
of Loyal, Arno of Stevens Point, and one daughter, Ruth, survive
him. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Stange was a
man that was respected by all, a kind neighbor and friend. The
funeral services were held from the local Lutheran Church, of which
he was a faithful member, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. E. Kemena
