Berrett, William J. (15 JUN 1880 - 17 Mar 1921)

William J. Berrett was born at Unity, Wis. June 15, 1880. When very young he came with his parents to the vicinity of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., where he spent his childhood and young manhood days. He was married Sept. 17, 1902 to Miss Myrtie Cook of Loyal. For a few years Mr. Berrett and family lived in Oregon and upon his return to Wisconsin moved to the farm in West Beaver, Clark County, where he lived until his death March 17, 1921. He is survived by his wife and five children, an aged father and one brother. A year ago last January Mr. Berrett underwent an unsuccessful operation at Rochester, Minn. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Knaak at the home on March 20 and interment was made at the Loyal Cemetery. Rev. Chatterson officiated at the grave.
