Carolyn Hynes, Owen; Mary Pauly and Yvonne Smasal, Withee, have enrolled as freshmen at Viterbo College and will begin course work the last week of August.

This year’s orientation for Viterbo freshmen includes houseboat excursions on the Mississippi River, a picnic supper, tours to point of interest in the La Crosse area, and small group meetings, in which students can become acquainted with other freshmen and learn more about the campus community.

Other campus-sponsored activities for beginning of the school year include a film series, convocations planned by the Campus Events Committee, dramatic productions of “The Miser” and “There Merry Widow,” a September ` concert by jazz performer Woody Herman, and an October performance by the world renowned Vienna Choir boys.

Viterbo is a four year co-educational Christian, liberal arts college located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Present enrollment at the college is 950.
