TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 01/22/1920 Shupe, Elva
(Marriage - 14 Jan 1920) A pretty wedding
took place last Wednesday evening, Jan. 14, 1920, at the M. E.
Parsonage at 7:30, when Miss Elva Shupe became the bride of Mr.
Vernard O. Kauffman. Rev. J. H. Chatterson performed the
ceremony. The bride wore a
navy blue suit and was attended by her sister, Miss Helena Shupe as
bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Ray
Kauffman. Following the
ceremony a fine wedding supper was given at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Shupe, to the immediate families only. The groom is the
oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Kauffman of this village (Loyal,
Clark County, Wis.). He is a young man of sterling worth and
industrious habits, and has spent a year overseas in the
service. The bride is the
oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shupe and is an attractive
young lady who will make a good helpmate for the one who has chosen
her for a life partner. Mr. and Mrs. Kauffman went to housekeeping
at once on the A. A. Groves farm. The Tribune joins with a host of
friends in wishing them a long and happy life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
