TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 06/17/1920 Baker, Gertrude
(Marriage - 9 JUN 1920) On June 9, 1920 a
marriage of unusual interest took place at the Presbyterian
Parsonage at Milwaukee, the contracting parties being Mr. Chester
Smith of this place (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) and Miss Gertrude
Baker of Beaver Dam, Wis. The ceremony was performed at 3:30 in the
afternoon and the couple was attended by Mrs. Hazel Baker, a sister
of the bride, and Homer Smith, a brother of the groom. The bride wore a
cream colored suit and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and lilies
of the valley. After the ceremony
Mr. and Mrs. Smith left for a wedding trip to Chicago, Racine and
other points, and later will be at home at Loyal. The groom is an
ex-service man, was a member of Co. F of the 32nd Div. And was in
the service two years, fifteen months of that time he spent
overseas. He is an industrious and dependable young man and has
many friends here. The bride,
although a stranger to us, is highly spoken of. She has been a
successful teacher for the past few years. The Tribune
extends congratulations and best wishes. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
