TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 07/02/1920 Otto, Freda A.
(Marriage - 30 JUN 1920) The home of Mrs.
Bertha Hills was the scene of a very pretty wedding at 9 o'clock
Wednesday evening, June 30, 1920, when Miss Freda A. Otto and
Calvin A. Hills were united in marriage. The words uniting the
happy couple were pronounced by Rev. J. H. Chatterson in an
impressive manner. The bride was
attired in a gown of white organdie and carried a shower bouquet of
white carnations and ferns. She was attended by Miss Anna Degen as
bridesmaid. Mr. Harold Hills, brother of the groom, was best
man. After the
ceremony, which was witnessed by the immediate relatives only, a
bounteous supper was served. The contracting
parties are both very well known here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.).
The groom has lived in this vicinity since childhood and is the
second son of Mrs. Bertha Hills, and graduated from our local high
school in the class of 1919. He is an industrious and dependable
young man and is employed at present at Tripoli, Wis., where he has
a good position. The bride,
although living here but the past two years, has by her quiet and
unassuming ways, made many friends. She graduated form the Eau
Claire business college two years ago and since that time has
served the Loyal State Bank faithfully as bookkeeper and at present
as assistant cashier, both of which positions she filled in a
competent manner. Mr. and Mrs. Hills
will later go to housekeeping in Tripoli. The Tribune joins
with a host of friends here and elsewhere in wishing them a long
and happy life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
