Monday morning, August 29, 1977, after almost two months, The 11th Frame
Restaurant again opens for business. The popular Owen restaurant was closed
after a fire, which occurred on Thursday evening, June 30, 1977. The fire, which
damaged the kitchen, started from a faulty thermostat control on a cooker.
According to owners, Mr. and Mrs. John Jalling of Withee, the restaurant will be
operating on just about the same schedule as before, and will have the same
menu.
The fire in June damaged the kitchen, burned up the exhaust fan, and water
damaged the dining room ceiling and stained the carpet. Now the kitchen looks
just like new, and the two chicken cookers have been cleaned up and look just
like new.
The eating public has been anxiously awaiting this event, and will be happy to
know that the 11th Frame is again open for business.
