On Saturday evening, September 10, 1977, Phyllis Conrad was honored by members
and former members of the Longwood 4-H Club for her twenty-five years of service
to that club. “Take a Trip Down Memory Lane,” was the caption given to the
evening’s entertainment, which was held at the Owen Grade School gym. The music
for the affair was provided by WCCN records, with Scot Thompson at the mike and
handling the records. Members of the club, with their parents and friends,
enjoyed dancing, visiting, and a lunch served by members.
Mrs. Conrad was presented with a corsage from the Club, and later was presented
with a plaque which read, “Phyllis Conrad. In Commemoration of Your 25 Years of
Service to the Longwood Center 4-H Club, 1952 – 1977.” Holly Amacher presented
the plaque, while members, former members, and parents look on.
