Olson, Edna (5 SEP 1921 - 26 Dec 2001)

Edna A. Olson, 80, Unity, Wis., died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at the United Methodist Church, Colby. The Rev. Lois Takata officiated. Edna Arlene Lube was born on Sept. 5, 1921, in Colby, to Arthur and Marie Lube. She attended Colby High School and graduated in 1940. She married Loraine Luther in 1944 and was remarried on Sept. 6, 1950, to Joseph Olson in Minneapolis. She was employed early in her life by Wausau Rubber Works, the Colby Telephone Exchange and St. Croix Fish Pole Factory. She was also a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, Cooking for her family, reading and playing cards. Survivors include her husband Joseph, Unity; two sons, Steve (Carol) Luther, Colby, and Daniel (Barb) Olson, Eugene, Ore.; one daughter, Lori (Jim) Brodhagen, Abbottsford; 10 grandchildren, Ann (Troy) Schmitt, Matthew (Brandi) Luther, Steffanie, Jennifer and Justin Luther, Bret and Travis Olson, and Hailey, Whitney and Mary Brodhagen; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Alex Schmitt; two sisters, Norma Schueffer and Martha Neuman, a sister-in-law, Margaret Lube; and two brothers-in-law, John Reich and Roland Roth.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Leona Roth and Verna Reich; and one brother, Herbert Lube.

The Cremation Society of Eau Claire assisted the family with arrangements.
