Nos, Oksana (15 January 1895 – 25 December 1980)
Funeral services were held on the morning of Saturday, December 27, for Mrs.
Oksana Nos, 85, who passed away on December 25 in St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield.
The deceased was born on January 15, 1895, in the Ukraine to Roman and Ulana
Ruchliada. In 1918, she married Sawka Nos. The couple moved to the United States
in 1949, settling in Chicago. In 1954, they moved to the Town of Lynn where they
farmed. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox parish and the sisterhood
of the church.
Surviving her is one daughter, Mrs. John (Maria) Berez, Granton; four
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband, October 24, 1976, and by two sons.
The Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton was in charge of arrangements which
included a funeral service at the Ukranian Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in the
Town of Lynn. The Rev. Nicholas Hodynsky of Minneapolis officiated at the rites.
Burial was made in the Town of Lynn Cemetery.
