Steinbach died at the Wis. Veterans' Home at Waupaca, March 8,
1917, death being due to general debility. Mrs. Steinbch's
maiden name was Lydia Wells. She was born in Vermont April 10,
1847; came from there to Neosho, Wis. with her parents, and was
married to Peter Steinbach at that place. They came to Colby, Wis.
about forty-five years ago and lived here until 1900, when they
went to live at the Veterans' Home. Mr. Steinbach died June 17th,
1914. Three children survive her: William of Owen, Clark County,
Wis. Mrs. R. E. Holden, town of Holeton; and Mrs. Ada Shelley in
Canada. The remains were
brought to this city by her son on the Friday afternoon train and
the funeral was held from the M. E. Church Sunday afternoon. She
