PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 08/30/1917 Miller, Mary M.
(28 Dec 1854 - 21 Augl 1917) Mary Malinda
Hopkins was born Dec. 28, 1854, in Defiance Co., Ohio, and died
Aug. 21, 1917. On Oct. 9, 1879,
she was married to J. E. Miller and to this union was born one
daughter, L. Myrtle Healy. In the fall of 1882 this happy family
came to Colby, Wis. and lived her until June 1903, and during that
time they were among the foremost to contribute to the upbuilding
and development of our community, and added greatly to its
sociability. Mrs. Miller was one of the earnest workers of the M.
E. Church and the congregations felt her loss keenly when the
family moved back to Ohio. After living in Ohio for two years they
moved to Chicago and for the past eight years have lived in the
home where she died. She leaves to
mourn her a sorrowing husband and only daughter, one granddaughter,
one sister and three brothers. Funeral services
were held in Chicago and the remains taken to Hicksville, Ohio, for
burial. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
