PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 09/13/1917 Freeman, Lenora
(16 Jul 1844 - 7 Sep 1917) Mrs. D. R.
Freeman, who was taken to the Veterans' Home at Waupaca several
weeks ago, died at that institution last Friday. She had been an
invalid for a number of years. Lenora Whitehouse
was born July 16, 1844, in dodge Co., Wis. She was married to Frank
Stanley in Dec. 1870. On Oct., 10, 1875, she was married to John
Beaudreau. One daughter, Claudia, deceased, was born to this union.
On Sept. 9, 1880 she was married to Dr. D. R. Freeman, who died two
years ago. Mrs. Freeman lived in Colby, Wis. a good many years and
had many friends who regret to learn of her death, even though they
realize that her sufferings are at an end. Those who survive
her are two brothers, Clarence of Onekama, Mich., and George of
Hibbing, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. L. Nichals and Mrs. John
Gunn of Manistee, Mich., and Miss Mary, this city. The body was
brought her Monday and the funeral held from the M. E. Church
Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Harry C. Hall officiating. Her remains were
laid to rest in the Colby Cemetery beside those of her husband. Those from out of
town to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Freeman of
North Fond du Lac, and Miss Nina F. Cole of Waukesha. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
