APR 1834 - 5 OCT 1917) Mrs. Karl Zarnke
died Friday, Oct. 5, 1917, at the home of her son William, in the
town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., at the age of eighty-three. Minnie Becker was
born in Germany April 10, 1834, and was married to Karl Zarnke
before they came to this country in 1882. They lived for five years
on a farm near Brillion before coming to the town of Hull in 1887,
settling on the farm where she died. Her husband passed from this
life about ten years ago. Deceased is
survived by two sons, William of the town of Hull, Charles of
Wausau, and one daughter, Mrs. August Brandes of Wausau. The people of this
community (Colby, Wis.) will join with this paper in extending
sincere sympathy to the surviving sons and daughter in the loss of
their mother, who had lived a long and useful life. The funeral was
held Monday afternoon from St. John's Ev. Church, in this city,
Rev. A. Peper officiating. Burial took place in the Colby
