Sophia Grambort was born Jan. 9, 1841, in Hanover, Germany. She came to this country with her parents when about three years of age, the family settling in the town of Mosel, Sheboygan Co. In 1857 she was united in marriage with Gottfried Lueloff. After living on a farm in the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc Co., for several years, they moved to Kiel, where her husband was in business for ten years. In Feb. 1899 the family came to Colby, Wis. and started the business known as the Colby Marble Works, under the firm name of G. Lueloff & Sons.

Besides her aged husband, she is survived by four sons, August of Jackson, Wis., Ed of Kiel, Herman of Brillion, and Fred of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. John Keenan of Mellen. The children deceased are Theodore and William, and Mrs. Otto Langjahr.

The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 4th, from St. John Ev. Church, Rev. A Peper officiating. She was laid to rest in the family lot in the Colby Cemetery.
