JAN 1841 - 3 Dec 1917) Sophia Grambort
was born Jan. 9, 1841, in Hanover, Germany. She came to this
country with her parents when about three years of age, the family
settling in the town of Mosel, Sheboygan Co. In 1857 she was united
in marriage with Gottfried Lueloff. After living on a farm in the
town of Schleswig, Manitowoc Co., for several years, they moved to
Kiel, where her husband was in business for ten years. In Feb. 1899
the family came to Colby, Wis. and started the business known as
the Colby Marble Works, under the firm name of G. Lueloff &
Sons. Besides her aged
husband, she is survived by four sons, August of Jackson, Wis., Ed
of Kiel, Herman of Brillion, and Fred of this city, and one
daughter, Mrs. John Keenan of Mellen. The children deceased are
Theodore and William, and Mrs. Otto Langjahr. The funeral took
place on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 4th, from St. John Ev. Church,
Rev. A Peper officiating. She was laid to rest in the family lot in
