Dorothy (1843? - 23 Feb 1918) After long and
intense suffering death came to the relief of Mrs. Dorothy
Sterzinger at the home of her son, Frank, Saturday, Feb. 23, 1918,
at 11:30 o'clock in the forenoon, the cause of death being
cancer. Deceased was 74
years of age and had been a resident of Colby, Wis. since 1881,
coming here from Milwaukee, to which city she came from Bavaria in
the year 1873. She was a widow, her husband, George Sterzinger,
having passed away about ten years ago. She is survived by eight
children, four sons and four daughters. Of the sons, George resides
in Colby, Joseph and Frank on the farm near this city, and Mike in
Minneapolis. The daughters are Mrs. Matt Allar, who lives on the
farm, Mrs. James Robinson and Mrs. John Schuller, Chicago, Mrs.
Irving Hart, West Allis. There are also 19 grandchildren. The funeral was
held from St. Mary's Church Tuesday morning and interment made in
Colby St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers
were Messrs. Matt Thorn, Sr., Joe Frane, John Orth, Sr., Joseph
