Landin, Charles (1847? - 3 Mar 1918)

Charles Landin, a well known character in and about Colby, Wis. for the past fifteen or twenty years, was suddenly stricken with cardiac insufficiency and fell dead upon the sidewalk just as he was about to enter the house of friends in this city at noon Sunday, March 3, 1918.

For the past two years Landin had been working at the Lamont farm near this city and had walked in for a few hours visit but succumbed to the attack before he was able to reach the door.

The remains were taken to the Lulloff undertaking rooms, where they were given proper care until the arrival of the two daughters of the deceased from Appleton and Junction City.

The body was taken Tuesday noon to Appleton, where interment was made in the family burial lot in the Appleton Cemetery.

Deceased was 70 years of age.
