PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 11/08/1917 Thorn, Margaret
(Marriage - 7 NOV 1917) Wednesday morning,
Nov. 7, 1917, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in this city (Colby,
Wis.), Miss Margaret Thorn, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt
Thorn Sr., and Mr. Ray Rifenberg, of Waupun, were married by Rev.
Henry Lachnit. The church had
been beautifully decorated for the occasion by the young ladies of
St. Mary's Congregation and the ceremony was attended by a great
many. The church male quartet sang for the High Mass. The bride was
attired in white crepe de chine and bridal veil, and carried a
bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Miss Rose Thorn, sister of the
bride, was bridesmaid and wore a gown of yellow silk with picture
hat to match. Mr. Mike Malone of Milwaukee acted as best man. The young couple
will leave for Waupun tomorrow, where Mr. Rifenberg has a farm, and
take with them the heartiest congratulations and best wishes of our
whole community. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
