PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 11/22/1917 Kyle, Hulda
(Marriage - 21 NOV 1917) At 10 o'clock
yesterday morning Mrs. Hulda Kyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Hoppen of this city (Colby, Wis.), and Mr. John Bowers of Stevens
Point, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents,
by the Rev. H. C. Hall of the M. E. Church. It was strictly a quiet
home wedding, only immediate relatives being present. The
contracting parties were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sturner of
this city. The new Mrs.
Bowers is well and favorably known to all of us, having been born
and raised here, and for the past several years has been chief
operator in this city for the Clark Co. Telephone Company. Mr.
Bowers is one of the efficient conductors of the Soo Line and is a
gentleman of very pleasing personality. Those from out of
town who were present were Misses Eva and Irene Bowers, daughters
of the groom, of Stevens Point, and Marie Pondstone of Mellen. Mr. and Mrs.
Bowers left for Chicago on the noon train yesterday, where they
will spend several days with relatives. Following their return they
wll be at home to their friends in Stevens Point. The phonograph
joins in wishing them much happiness and success. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
