Miss Pamela Kay Solberg and Merlin Logan Hemp of Eau Claire were married July
16, the Rev. Paul F. Forde officiating at the ceremony at Calvary Lutheran
Church, Neillsville.
The bride, daughter of mr. and Mrs. Robert Solberg, Neillsville, was given in
marriage by her parents to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hemp of Neillsville.
Mrs. William Penker was accompanist; Dawn Opelt, vocalist.
The bride had a white chiffon and lace chapel-entrained gown, a wreath of
flowers with fingertip veil and a cascade bouquet of white roses, lavender
carnations, yellow forget-me-nots and stephanotis.
Mrs. Matthew Hemp of Neillsville, Miss Kim Solberg of Eau Claire and Miss Sheri
Solberg, Neillsville, were bridesmaids and had lavender taffeta and lace gowns
and fans with white roses, lavender carnations, forgot-me-nots and stephanotis.
Stefanie Hemp and Joshua Hemp were miniature bride and bridegroom respectively.
Matthew Hemp, Neillsville, was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Hemp of
Neillsville, Michael Hemp of Merrill and Shawn Severson, Arcadia, and ushering
were Scott Solberg, Neillsville, and Melvin Hemp, Lodi.
The reception was at Wildcat Inn of Neillsville and the dance at Neillsville
American Legion Hall. After a week's honeymoon in Orlando, Florida, the Hemps
will live in Eau Claire.
The bride graduated in 1982 from Neillsville High School and attends District 1
Technical Institute-Eau Claire taking the data processing course. She is a clerk
at Bob's IGA, Neillsville. her husband, 1 1980 graduate of Neillsville High
School, attended the University of Wisconsin Center, Marshfield-Wood County, He
is the grocery manager at Bob's IGA, Neillsville.
