Wanke, Orlyn J. (1924-14 July 1983)
Word had been received of the death of a former Curtiss resident, Orlyn Wanke,
58, of Milwaukee, He died there July 14.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Hattie Pribbernow) Wanke. He
graduated from Owen High School in 1942. On April 5, 1947 in Curtiss he married
the former Evelyn Hennlich. She survives. He was employed in Milwaukee by
Wisconsin Electric.
He was a member of the South Sid Redeemer E.V. Lutheran Church, and the Tripoli
Shrine Clown Unit, both of Milwaukee. He entertained many groups with his magic
and as the clown named "Stix".
Also surviving are four sons, Terrance, James, Dennis and Thomas, all of
Milwaukee; a sister, Jean McGenly of Gary, Indiana; and five grandchildren.
