Hertz, Edwin O. (27 February 1918-21 July 1983)

COLBY -- Edwin O. Hertz, 65, of 107 S. Main St., Colby, died today at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was admitted on Tuesday.

Services will be Saturday at the Rux Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Robin O. Fink of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

He was born February 27, 1918 in the Town of Colby to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Augusta Borchert) Hertz. He farmed in the Abbotsford area and then worked in Beloit and Chicago for a number of years. He never married.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Margaret) Lube of Curtiss, and Mrs. Grace Staffeil of Thorp. He was also predeceased by a sister.
