MAY 1873 - 30 Sep 1918) Nick Philippi of
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died suddenly on Sept. 30, 1918 of
paralysis, being stricken Sunday and died at 10 a.m. Monday. Deceased was well
known in the community, having come to Colby with his parents from
Calumet Co. when 5 years old, and lived here until about 20 years
ago, when he went to Neillsville and has worked on a farm near
Neillsville continuously since then, but has been here on numerous
occasions since leaving. Deceased was born
near St. John, Calumet Co. on May 23, 1873. The following brothers
and sisters survive him: Peter of Dale, Mike of Marshfield, John of
Lake Villa, Ill., Kathryn and Mrs. Louis Frane of this city, all of
who were present at the funeral. Funeral services
were held from St. Mary's Church, Rev. Lachnit officiating. Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Prock and Frank and John Thoma of Neillsville were here to
