FEB 1869 - 10 NOV 1918) Mrs. Otto Nagel of
this city (Colby, Wis.), died Friday morning Nov. 10, 1918, at 3:15
a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, of splenic leukemia,
after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Nagel was
born in the town of Meerne, Manitowoc Co., Wis., Feb. 27, 1869, and
was married to Otto Nagel sixteen years ago. She came to Clark
County, Wis. with her husband and family in Sept. 1908 and they
lived on a farm in the town of Mayville until they moved to this
city about three years ago. Since coming here Mrs. Nagel has been
held in the very high esteem of her neighbors and friends who will
greatly miss her and deeply sympathize with those she leaves
behind. She is survived by
her husband and four children, Mrs. Ed Bertram of Marion Wis., and
Gustav, Alfred and Emma at home, and four stepchildren, Udo, August
and Arthur in the service in France, and Mrs. Herman L. Tesmer of
Colby, seven brothers: Gustave Eckhardt of Kiel, Fred, Ferdinand
and Herman of Sheboygan, Henry of Howard's Grove, Louis of the town
of Herman, Sheboygan Co., and Oscar of Great Falls, Mont., and one
grandchildren, Iona Bertram. The funeral was
held from St. John's Evangelical church in this city Tuesday
afternoon and the burial took place in the Colby cemetery, Rev. A
