PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 01/16/1919 Ehle, Edward
(1843? - 19 Dec 1918) The Phonograph has
just learned of the death of Edward Ehle, a pioneer resident of
Colby, Wis., and a veteran of the Civil War. His death occurred at
the Wis. Veterans' Home at Waupaca on Dec. 19, 1918 at the age of
75 years. He is survived by his wife and the following children:
Mrs. Edna kaudy of Waupaca; Mrs. Madge Fischer of Laurium, Mich.;
Edward Ehle, Jr. of Phillips and Marshall Ehle of Waupaca. He also
leaves a brother, Bert Ehle of Grand Rapids, Wis., and a sister,
Mrs. E. L. Cole of Fond du Lac, eleven grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. Mr. Ehle served in
the Civil War as Sergeant in Co. H. 37th Wis. Inf. and had a fine
army record. He had been an Orderly for the past two years in the
hospital at the Veterans' Home and acted as sergeant in the main
