MAY 1854 - 24 Jan 1919) Carl Zolltheis of
the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., died at the Marshfield
Hospital on Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, 1919, following an operation
for appendicitis. For a man of his
age Mr. Zolltheis had been in very good health up to Saturday
evening the 18th of January, when he was suddenly taken sick and
the next day was taken tot he hospital on the noon train and the
operation performed the same afternoon. The operation was
successful ine very respect, but it seems that his age went against
him and he passed away being unable to survive the ordeal. Carl Zolltheis was
born at Howard's Grove in the town of Herman, Sheboygan, Co., Wis.,
May 9, 1854. In March 1915 he came to live with his son, Henry, in
the town of Hull, where he has since made his home. He is survived by
two sons, Fred of Sheboygan and Henry of the town of Hull, and one
daughter, Miss Olga Zolltheis of Sheboygan, one brother, Fred, of
Sheboygan, and two sisters, Mesdames Gust and Theo. Hoeft of the
town of Holeton, all of who were present at the funeral. His wife
died seventeen years ago. The funeral was held from Immanuel
Reformed Church in this city on Monday afternoon, Rev. W.
Grosshuesch officiating. Interment took place in the Colby
