(7 Augl 1863 - 5 OCT 1919) Miss Christina
Theilig, daughter of Charles Theilig of the town of Colby, Clark
County, Wis., passed away at the state asylum for the insane at
Wausau, Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, 1919, of cancer of the liver and
kidneys. The deceased was
born at Sheboygan, Aug. 7, 1863, and came with her parents to this
locality 43 years ago. Some twenty-six years ago her mind became
affected and she was taken to the state institution at Mendota.
After being cared for at that place several years it was apparent
that her case was incurable and she was transferred to Wausau,
where the unfortunate was obliged to spend the remainder of her
days. Her remains were
brought from Wausau to the home of her sister, Mrs. Gust Erdman in
the town of Colby on Tuesday by Undertaker F. W. Lulloff of this
city, who was in charge of the funeral. She is survived by
her aged father, three brothers, Herman, Phillip and George, and
two sisters, Mrs. Gust Erdman and Miss Amelia Theilig, all of the
town of Colby. Her mother died nine years ago. The funeral was
held today from the Lutheran Church in Green Grove and the burial
took place in Colby Cemetery, the services being conducted by Rev.
