PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 08/22/1918 Tessmer, Helena A.
(Marriage - 12 Augl 1918) Numerous Colby,
Wis. people were surprised to learn that Helena A. Tessmer, who has
been employed as a telegraph operator in Chicago, was quietly
married at Waukegan, Ill, at 6 p.m., Aug. 12, 1918, to Dr. Prosper
H. Burbey of Milwaukee. The newly married couple arrived at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tessmer on the
following Sunday morning. They were entertained at a wedding dinner
at 1 o'clock Sunday, only the immediate friends of the bride being
present. In the afternoon they went to Chelsea for a short visit
with the doctor's parents, who reside at that place. Dr. Burbey
returned to Milwaukee the same evening, but Mrs. Burbey stopped off
here for an extended visit. The young people have the
congratulations of their Colby friends who wish them many years of
happy married life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
