PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 12/12/1918 Thierbach, Elsie
(Marriage - 5 Dec 1918) Miss Elsie
Thierbach, daughter of Henry Thierbach of Colby, Wis., and Mr. Wm.
Miller of the town of Spencer, were married at Marshfield last
Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5, 1918. It has been a
known fact for some time that the couple was engaged to be married,
but the event was not made known to anyone outside their family
circles until they returned to Colby from a short wedding trip
Sunday evening. Someone tipped it off to a number of friends and at
about nine o'clock that evening they had the pleasure of listening
to a bit of entertainment in the shape of a melodious charivari. At
the conclusion of several choice selections the "musicians" were
invited in and with other guests and members of the families of the
contracting parties, partook of a sumptuous lunch. The groom is a
progressive and well-to-do young man of the town of Spencer, being
the owner of a fine large farm and he is to be congratulated in his
selection of a helpmate. The young couple
left here Monday and are now at home to their friends on their
farm. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
