PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 04/24/1919 Wolk, Emma
(Marriage - 19 Apr 1919) A pretty home
wedding took place last Saturday at high noon at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wolk. The contracting parties
were Miss Emma Wolk and Mr. Walter J. Larson, son of one of our
prominent farmers, Mr. and Mrs. John Larson, living east of the
city (Colby, Wis.). Mr. Oscar Dix acted as best man and Mrs. Oscar
Dix as matron of honor. Rev. Peper tied the nuptial knot uniting
the lives of these young people. The bride was
becomingly attired in Pekin blue crepe de chine. She has been in
the dress making business for a number of years and being an artist
in that line it is useless to state that her wedding gown was
handsomely made. The groom has been
in the army the past year and one-half, having seen service in war
torn France. He received his honorable discharge in February, being
mustered out at Camp Grant. After the ceremony
a bountiful dinner was served and after spending several pleasant
hours in a social manner the groom took his prize on a honeymoon
trip to Northern Wis. On Their return they will take up
housekeeping on the farm of the groom's father. We join with their
many friends in wishing them a long, pleasant and prosperous
life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
