Preliminary work in the construction of Mead dam will be started next week.
Contracts for the $60,221 project in the town of Mead, northwest of Greenwood, were signed in the Clark County Courthouse this week by the successful bidder, Ben Gottschalk of Edgar, and members of the County Board's Public Property Committee.
