NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Wm
Goeke and family were Sunday dinner guests at Calvin Franz's. Mr. and Mrs. Amo
Vater and Mr. and Mrs. Don Hawks and daughter were Sunday dinner,
guests at F. Scherf's. The Christmas
program by the children will be given at the Lutheran Church on
Sunday at 7:45 p.m. The school program
will be given Friday evening, Dec. 21st. Mr. and Mrs. Jess
Capes visited at the E.E. Capes home at Unity Sunday p.m. Mrs.
Toulee is seriously ill.
******************Last Week Mr. and Mrs.
Gerhard Gosse left Saturday for Chicago, having visited a few weeks
here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Scherf and daughter were Sunday dinner guests at the Donald Hawks
home. Mrs. Axel Flaaten
is home from the LeGault hospital. Miss Fem Bowen
left a week ago Tuesday for a visit with her brother at
Neillsville. Friends of the Tom
Haas family from Montana and Illinois visited them over
Thanksgiving. Miss Gertrude Awe
spent Saturday eve and Sunday afternoon with her parents. She is
employed at the Owen hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Art
Swasal and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. Franz, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hawks
and daughter, Henrietta, and Mr. and Mrs. O. Elton and daughter,
Helen, were Saturday evening visitors at Fred Scherf s. Many ladies from
this vicinity spent a pleasant afternoon at the miscellaneous
shower given Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Gosse--Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Awe were supper guests at Elton's Sunday. Gordon Thorson
visited relatives at Neenah. Miss Marion Adams
is librarian at the Braun School. Mrs. Vaughn of
Crandon visited at the Tom Haas home. Mr. and Mrs.
Calvin Franz visited a week ago Sunday at the Sievert home in Eau
Claire. Miss Charlotte
McCarty of Whitehall spent Thanksgiving vacation with home
