Florence Miller
Florence A. Miller, 91, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Friday, Oct. 3, at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Colby. Pallbearers were Jesse Miller, Jason Miller, Jerold Weichelt, John Weichelt, Wayne Busse, and Brian Busse.
Florence Kasper was born Feb. 24, 1912, in the Town of Colby, to Moritz and Emma (nee Berg) Kasper. She attended the Cloverdale School. She married Raymond Miller on May 16, 1931, in the Town of Colby. They farmed in the Town of Colby for many years. They moved to Spencer and then to Abbotsford in July, 1974. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, a former member of the Sandhill Homemakers Club, St. Paul's Ladies Aid, and the Spencer and Colby Senior Citizens. Her interests included gardening and making quilts for family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Carol (Marvin) Busse, Abbotsford, Annette (Donald) Weichelt, Green Castle, Missouri, Raymond (Joan) Miller, Jr., Colby, and David Miller, Rockford, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Lautenschlaeger, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one grandchild, two great-grandchildren, one sister, and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Christ Lutheran Church.
Maurina Funeral Service / Community Funeral Home, Colby, assisted the family with arrangements.
