JUL 1848 - 9 Mar 1921) Mrs. Theresa Kunze
who died at her home east of Colby, Wis. last Wednesday, March 9,
1921, was buried Saturday with services at St. Mary’s Church
and interment in Colby St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Deceased was born
July 8, 1848 in Krist Neustate, Germany. In 1870 she was married to
Ferdinand Kunze and two years later came with her husband and one
daughter to America. They located at Sheboygan and remained there
until 1874, when they came to Colby and settled on a homestead,
which has since, after years of toil and labor, become one of the
best farms in this section. In 1919, Mr. Kunze passed away and Mrs.
Kunze, with the help of her three sons, continued to run the
farm. Her death came as
a severe shock to her relatives and friends as she had been in good
health up to the day of her death. She is survived by
nine children, Mrs. Peter Thiel, Stanley; Mrs. Wenzel Prueher,
Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Philip Sarazin, Cloquette, Minn.; Mrs. Wenzel
Klug, Boyd; Carl Kunze, Cloquette; Mrs. Bert Ohlinger, Colby and
Joseph, Albert and August at home. One daughter, Mrs. Katherine
Priehs of California, preceded her mother in death about two months
ago. All of the
