Kunze, Theresa (8 JUL 1848 - 9 Mar 1921)

Mrs. Theresa Kunze who died at her home east of Colby, Wis. last Wednesday, March 9, 1921, was buried Saturday with services at St. Mary’s Church and interment in Colby St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Deceased was born July 8, 1848 in Krist Neustate, Germany. In 1870 she was married to Ferdinand Kunze and two years later came with her husband and one daughter to America. They located at Sheboygan and remained there until 1874, when they came to Colby and settled on a homestead, which has since, after years of toil and labor, become one of the best farms in this section. In 1919, Mr. Kunze passed away and Mrs. Kunze, with the help of her three sons, continued to run the farm.

Her death came as a severe shock to her relatives and friends as she had been in good health up to the day of her death.

One daughter, Mrs. Katherine Priehs of California, preceded her mother in death about two months ago.

All of the children attended the funeral.
