NOV 1851 - 2 Sep 1921) Ernst Thiel died
at his home in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., on Friday,
Sept. 2, 1921, of cancer of the stomach. Deceased was born
in Germany on Nov. 2, 1851, and when but 6 months old came to
America with his parent, who settled on a farm in the town of
Mosel, Sheboygan Co. In June 1875 he was united in marriage to Miss
Anna Krepsky of Sheboygan. Twenty years ago last spring they came
to Colby, Wis. and purchased a farm in the town of Hull, which has
been the family home since. Mr. Thiel is
survived by his widow and eleven children, John of Belle Plain,
Minn., Max, Colby, Reinhold, Chicago, Mrs. Wm. Mehering and Mrs.
Wm. Rix, Sheboygan, Edward, Portland, Oregon, Martin, Spokane,
Wash., Mrs. Paul Smith, Eugene, Josepha nd Edna of Colby. A son,
Simon, died three years ago. A brother, August Thiel, and a sister,
Mrs. Carl Karstedt, both of Sheboygan, also survive him. The funeral was
held from Zion Lutheran Church in this city on Tuesday afternoon at
2 o’clock, Rev. Kirchhoefer officiating, and the interment
