Schiller, Pauline (29 May 1841 - 19 NOV 1921)

Mrs. Pauline Schiller of the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., died of old age Saturday, Nov. 19, 1921. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Tuesday, Rev. George Crow officiating and interment was made in the Colby Cemetery.

Mrs. Schiller was born May 29, 1841 in Saxony, Germany, and came to the U. S. in 1854, and to this locality in 1873, 48 years ago, living on a farm in the town of Hull. She was married to John Schiller in Fredonia, Germany, Sept. 8, 1861. She is survived by four children: Herman, Louis, Anna and Mrs. Augusta Williams. One brother and one sister also mourn her loss: Herman Lodze, Port Washington, Wis., and Mrs. Augusta Modz, also of Port Washington. Three children, Oswald, John and Clara, preceded her in death. Her husband died about twenty years ago.

Her husband took part in the Civil War and fought for his adopted country. When the deceased first came to this country, it was far from being settled and endured many hardships. She always was a hard worker and took a great interest in community affairs.
