Mr. H. D Everly and daughter M J D. Stanard returned hoe on Friday last fro a three weeks’ visit at Wausau Mo where they were visiting Mr. Samuel Everly ,a brother Mr. Everly. Enroute they took in Sioux City, Council Bluffs St. Joe., and Edilia. Although Mr. Everly likes the climate of Missouri he prefers to be in Clark county.

Mr. Joe C. Marsh returned from his prolonged visit in Pennsylvania last Friday, accompanied by his cousin, William Goodwin, of Philadelphia, and Stanley Bump, of Waverly, N. Y., who intend to remain during the winter visiting among relatives in Clark county. While absent Mr. Marsh also made a pleasure tour to Cape May, having desire to take a look at the ocean and enjoy the breezes on the coast.

A.A. Dutcher, formerly conductor on the branch from this place to Merrillan, now on the main line from Black River Falls to St. Paul, has been spending a few days in the city packing his furniture to remove to St. Paul. He was accompanied by his sister, Mrs. George, of St. Paul. Mr. Dutcher left Tuesday evening, and Mrs. George will leave this evening.

Mrs. Laura G. Fixen will deliver a temperance address under the auspices of the W. C. T. U. at Fireman’s Hall next Sunday evening.

Floy E. Jaseph, the little daughter of Mr. Sol. Jaseph, gave her little friends a birthday party on last Monday, the 10th anniversary of her birth.

Mrs. I. M. Sheldon will open her studio, for lessons in oil paintings, Monday, Oct. 15. Rooms in Mrs. Henry Myers’ house. Terms 60 cents per lesson.

Mrs. J. J. Green, of Neillsville, is visiting friends in the forest this week.

L Ring gave us Foresters a business call to-day.

Elijah Raymond moved onto his farm the old Charles Hintz place yesterday.

John I Sullivan, of City Point, has been here t look over R W. Button’s timer that was destroyed by the big blow . He thinks that about one million feet was laid on the ground.
