ABBOTSFORD TRIBUNE (Abbotsford, Wis.) 06/14/1923 Luhrsen, Hollis W.
(25 JUN 1907 - 5 JUN 1923) Another one of our
young friends was taken from our midst when Wallis Luhrsen answered
the last call June 5, 1923. Hollis William
Luhrsen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Luhrsen of this village,
died at Withee, Clark County, Wis. June 5, 1923, where he had been
under the care of Dr. Nielsen. His body was brought back to
Abbotsford Wednesday, June 6th. Hollis was born at Abbotsford June
25, 1907. He lived here
until three years of age. He parents then moved to New Hammand
where they lived one year, when they moved to Eau Claire, living
there for three years. From there they moved to Wis. Rapids, coming
from there to Abbotsford, where they have since resided. He was taken sick
in February with inflammatory rheumatism, which left him with a
weak heart. He recovered from this and was able to be out once
more, but in January he was taken with the flue, which left his
heart in such a weakened condition that he was unable to
recover. The funeral
services were held Thursday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church,
Rev. Joergensen officiating. The floral offerings were many and
beautiful. The relatives of
the immediate family from out of town who attended the funeral
were: Dr. Mrs. Nielsen and son Andrae, Mr. and Mrs. ? Luhrsen, Mr.
and Mrs. C. H. Luhrsen and Mrs. J. A. Miller. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
