ABBOTSFORD TRIBUNE (Abbotsford, Wis.) 04/03/1924 Ireland, Nettie (3
APR 1872 - 27 Mar 1924) The people of
Abbotsford were shocked and grieved last Thursday afternoon when
Mrs. Nettie Ireland passed very suddenly to the great beyond. She
had started out with some friends to make a call on a sick friend
and while walking along main street began to feel ill, saying she
was unable to go on. Dr. Johnston was called and a driver of a
nearby car volunteered to take her home. She was home but a few
moments when she passed away, the cause of her death being heart
failure. Nettie Crosby King
was born at Stockton, Portage Co., Wis., Apr. 3, 1872 and died
March 27, 1924 being within one week of 52 years of age at the time
of her death. On March 10, 1891
she was united in marriage to Alexander Ireland at Stevens Point
and for two years made their home in that city, moving to
Abbotsford the later part of 1893. Four children were
born to them, Wesley, Anna, Charles and Jessie, now Mrs. Wm.
Copeland. Two of the children, Wesley and Anna, preceded their
mother to the grave. Besides her husband and children she leaves to
mourn her death one brother, Charles King of Mellen, one sister,
Mrs. Harry Heck of Chippewa Falls, two grandsons and one
granddaughter. Mrs. Ireland was
well known in this town and neighboring ones as a nurse and brought
her service and kindliness made friends far and near. A host of
friends are grieving now many of who will sadly miss her. Her many friends
extend heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing ones. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
