Quackenboss departed this life to be with her Master, Sept. 8,
1925, at the age of 68 years and three days. Martha Louise
Marshall was born at Bally Cory, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 5, 1857.
She was married at the age of sixteen years to Wm. Brawley of
Toronto, Canada. To this union three children were born, two dying
at infancy and one at the age of twenty-one years. Mr. Brawley died
in the winter of 1895. Three years later, she married Mr. George
Quackenboss of the town of Hull, Marathon Co. In 1906 they sold
their farm east of Colby, Wis. and moved to town. Two years later
they moved to Clinton, Iowa, where Mr. Quackenboss died. After disposing of
her property at Clinton she moved her household furniture to Colby.
Mrs. Quackenboss was a worker in the church, her last membership
being with the M. E. Church of Colby, where funeral services were
conducted Friday by Rev. Von Busch of Abbotsford in the absence of
Rev. Lucas, pastor. She was loved by all her friends and will be
missed by all who knew her. Interment took place at the Marshfield
