YORK: Mr. C. H. Ide and wife were thrown from their buggy by a spirited team July 11th and Mr. Ide suffered a dislocation of his right elbow, and Mrs. Ide was severely Bruised and badly shaken up, but suffered no serious injury. Miss Abbie Ide, who was in the buggy with them, kept her seat, and reaching for the lines which her brother dropped on being thrown from the buggy, she succeeded in stopping the horses with the assistance of Mr. Tucker, at the cheese factory in Grant. Dr. Templeton, of Neillsville, set the elbow, and Mr. Ide is doing as well as can be expected.
Willie Glidden, of York, cut his knee badly with a scythe while mowing for W. P. Budge.
Dl L. Safford has sold his place in York to Frank D. Potter, of West Bend
