Perschke, Leona M. (Marriage - 18 Jul 1925)

Most of our people were somewhat surprised this week to receive cards announcing the wedding of Miss Leona Myrtle Perschke to Dr. Robert E. Binning of Augusta, Wis. While we say most people were surprised, yet most of us expected something like that to happen sometime in the future.

The young people stole a march on all their friends by leaving the villages where they reside and going to Winona, Minn. They were married Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church Parsonage.

They visited several cities in Wisconsin and returned to Augusta, their future place of residence and will be at home to all their many friends after July 27th.

Both Leona and Robert, as they are known in this village (Colby, Wis.), graduated from our high school. Robert continued his studies at Marquette College, where he graduated, while Leona attended Stevens Point Normal for three years and then served two years in the public schools.

We are proud of the success of both in their work and we feel assured that they have now assumed the real life work of us all, to make a real home and in this work we wish them both happiness and success for there can be no real home where there is no happiness. We all wish them the best there is in life and a long and happy journey.
