Phonograph (Colby, Wis.) 06/04/1925 Hollman, Frank (4
NOV 1835 - 27 May 1925) Frank Hollman,
whose death was chronicled in the Phonograph last week, was born in
Schwarzenthal, Austria, Nov. 4, 1835, thus reaching the age of 89
years, 6 months and 23 days. He came to this country in Aug. 1883,
and lived on a farm near Stetsonville until seven years ago when he
came to this locality. In 1859 he was married to Caroline Bock in
Austria, to which union four children were born who mourn his
departure, namely: Rudolph Hollmann, Colby, Wis., Alvin Hollman,
Colby, Wis., Emma Hansel, Stetsonville, Wis., and Mary Pfaff,
Stetsonville, Wis. Funeral services
were held at the catholic Church May 30th, Rev. Lachnit
officiating, and interment was made in the Stetsonville
Cemetery. The deceased is
another one of the hardy pioneers who came to Wisconsin when this
section was still a vast wilderness, and, by hard work and
privations, built a fine farm. But now he has gone to his reward,
after a noble and useful life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
