Theodore (22 OCT 1843 - 5 Augl 1925) Theo Schneider,
whose death was chronicled in this paper last week, was born in
Innsbruck, Germany Oct. 22, 1843 and died Aug. 5, 1925 of old age,
at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 14 days. He came to the United
States in 1869 and spent several years in Ohio and points in the
southern part of our country. In 1873 he was married to Mary
Weisbrich at Mr. Calvary, Wis., to which union six children were
born, all of who are still living. In 1880 he came to Colby, Wis.
with his wife and, by diligent work, they built a splendid farm out
of a wilderness. Funeral services
were held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church at Colby Monday, Aug.
10, Rev. Lachnitt officiating, and interment made in the Colby
Catholic Cemetery. Besides his wife,
his departure to the distant shore is mourned by the children,
namely: Mrs. H. J. Helmer, Iron City, Iowa, Mrs. G. J. Krauter,
Paradise, Mont., Anthony Schneider, Parodise, Mont., Mr. Al
Schuhman, Abbotsford, Wis., Mrs. Robert Gierl, Abbotsford, and John
Schneider, at home. The deceased, like
all our early pioneers, was strictly honest in the service he
rendered. He was a model Christian and an honorable gentleman and
commanded the respect of all sects and classes of people, as the
attendance at his funeral fully verified. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
