Phonograph (Colby, Wis.) 09/10/1925 Lindner, Mrs.
Charles (13 Sep 1867 - 5 Sep 1925) Mrs. Charles G.
Lindner died Saturday afternoon at 3:30 of cancer of the liver at
the age of 57 years, 11 months and 27 days. Funeral services were
held at the St. John's Evangelical Church Wednesday afternoon at
2:00 o'clock, Rev. A. H. Wegener officiating, and interment made in
the Colby Cemetery. The deceased was
born in Plymouth, Sheboygan Co., Wis., on Sept. 13, 1867, and was
married July 21, 1888 in Plymouth. To this union ten children were
born, five boys and five girls. Two of the boys, however, preceded
her to the distant shore. In 1889 she and her husband came to
Colby, Wis. and settled on a farm west of the city. Besides her
husband, the following children mourn her departure: August L.
Lindner, Cannon, Wis., Mrs. Anna Schumann, Colby, Wis., Mrs.
Theresa Gleanser, Dorchester, Pauline Lindner, Sheboygan, Charles
Lindner, Leola, S. D., Frieda, at hoe, Ross at home, and Leona at
home. Her life was
gentle but, like the still waters, it was deep. In her heart she
carried those she loved and her hand was never weary, her step
never failing in ministering unto, caring for, and waiting upon
those who were anyway dependent upon her. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
