Packard, aged eighty-three years and eleven months, died Wednesday
morning at 2:50 o'clock, cause of death being old age. She had been
failing in health since July, and since the middle of September had
been confined to her bed. She came to Wisconsin in 1876, locating
with her husband at Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. nearly fifty
years ago. Later they moved onto a farm north of Curtiss, Clark
County, where they resided until the death of her husband, after
which she and her daughter, Miss Marion Gwinn, moved to Curtiss,
where the balance of her life was spent. Funeral services
were held at the Congregational Church in Curtiss, Saturday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. W. P. Powell officiating. Interment
took place at Pine Hill Cemetery, one mile north of the village of
