(*1905 - 21 Feb 1926) Gladys Sturner,
the only remaining daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Sturner, died
Feb. 21, 1926 at 10:30 A.M. at the age of 21 years. The young lady
was confined to her bed with paralysis for the past year. A few
years ago, Waunetta, also a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John V.
Sturner, died of pneumonia. None but those who
have sat in the shadow of a great bereavement can justly weight
such a sorrow as this. Those who have gone down into the valley of
suffering and stood for months by the side of a loved one, as hope
after hope dropped away, as the pedals drop from a fading flower,
will, no doubt, continue to long for her. Funeral services
were held this Thursday, Feb. 18th, at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Rosenan of
Colby, officiating. At the close of the solemn services, all were
permitted to look for the last time upon the face of the departed;
then the sad cortege moved on to the silent city. Yet He who doeth
all things well, makes no mistakes. The human link snapped asunder
on earth is forged anew in heaver. The yearning parents mourn no as
one without hope. *Birth year taken
