OCT 1863 - JUN 1926) Frank Chase, whose
death was chronicled in this paper last week, was buried Friday
morning, funeral services were held at the Catholic Church, Rev.
Lachnit officiating, and interment made in the Colby Catholic
Cemetery. The deceased was
born Oct. 28, 1863, at Dale, Wis., where he lived until
twenty-seven years ago, when he came to Colby, Wis. For five years,
he bought cattle, after which he moved on a farm, one and one-half
miles west of Colby. His wife preceded him to the distant shore,
passing away fourteen years ago. The children left
to mourn his departure are Francis Chase of Colby, Orville Chase of
Colby, and Leslie Chase of Riplinger, who were all at his bedside
at the time of his death. Those from out of
town here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Phillippi of
Marshfield, Peter Phillippi of Dale, Lew Wilson and Lester Wilson
of Appleton. The deceased was
well known to people of Colby and vicinity, who will remember his
mild temperament, yet remarkable for an uncompromising firmness. He
was a good citizen and neighbor and well liked by all who knew
him. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
