Donald Bannach
Donald Wayne Bannach, 65, Mellen, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at the home of his stepdaughter, Carrie Knoff, Chili. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Community Funeral Home, Spencer. Rev. Lois Takata officiated.
Donald Bannach was born Nov. 19, 1937 in Wauwatosa, to John and Mabel (nee Sanders) Bannach. He married Ione Sara Schmechel Sobush on Oct. 21, 1961, in Milwaukee. She died Oct. 30, 2002. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and was a member of the Army Band.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Carrie (Chris) Knoff, Chili; two grandchildren, Paul Knoff and Don Knoff; one brother, John (Elaine) Bannach, Chili; and one sister, Maureen O'Leary.
Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
